More Law Of Attraction Takeaways
You may remember me gushing over my incredible trip to see Abraham Hicks in Amsterdam some time ago and I did promise that I would share all of my takeaways from that workshop. Better late than never right?
When it comes to the Law of Attraction, we often fall into one of three categories:

Those who don't know about it.
Those who know but don't do.
Those who know and do.
When we find this information, one of the biggest things keeping us the same is our inability to put the teachings into action. The process feels too simplistic to be effective. We're used to working hard to get what we want and the LOA goes against one of the most deeply embedded societal beliefs. We're also usually fully attached to our 'old story' and struggle to tell a new one because it doesn't feel like our truth. We want to 'argue for our limitations' as Abe puts it.
'You mean all I have to do is focus with gratitude on what I want and ignore or offer love to anything that I don't want to see more of? Really?!'
Well, that's pretty much it but as I said we know it isn't easy.
I was in Category 2 for years and I still drop into it now and again. A few years ago it occurred to me that I had to stop reading about the Law of Attraction and instead put it into practice.
I realised all of the great spiritual teachers and motivational speakers were saying the exact same thing so there has to be truth in it. Maybe I could commit to thinking this way for a day or two and let the Universe prove itself to me. This made it playful but the results spoke for themselves. My mood improved and things I had wanted for a while started happening.
It's important to commit to practicing seeing things differently, seeing things through the eyes of Source, including yourself....especially yourself. It doesn't mean that we'll no longer encounter challenges, as we've discovered from Abraham HIcks, we 'came for the contrast'. Challenges are necessary for our expansion but through this work, we can shorten periods of adversity. We become aware of the lessons sooner and then we can more easily move our attention to what we want to see. We no longer keep those difficult moments in our reality for longer than is necessary. We have to commit to practising at every opportunity until it becomes our default way of looking at things, knowing that when we shift our focus, our 3D reality quickly follows.
