Found Reiki, then my dream job after long unemployment

Before taking the Reiki course I was already deep into being unemployed for 13 months. Even with 15 years in affiliate marketing, I just couldn't get a job, not even in a coffee shop.
During this time of being unemployed I was forced to look inwards and face who I really am and if I am being true to myself. The work first led me towards learning to meditate and learn to let go of the baggage of the past and learn to be still. This allowed me to become open to callings with my head or ego getting in the way.
Oct 23 I bumped into my neighbour who started telling me about the Reiki course she did with Gwen and how she was sceptical at first but began to see colours during the course.
Something told me to look into Reiki and I ended up throwing myself all in because its not something I would normally do. I booked in for level 1 and 2 at the same time. I had completed both by Dec 24 with learnings on how powerful I am and the abilities I have, once I get out of my head. I left the course with the aim of becoming a full time Reiki practitioner and honing my skills over 2025, but life had other plans for me.
Before doing Reiki, I had read many stories of how people’s lives got transformed through Reiki, but never in this lifetime would I have thought I would be saying the same thing.
In January 2025, I got a call for a job! A job which I didn’t apply for. It was working for an energy supplier, paying me more than I ever thought I could ever earn. I got the job with such ease that it was surreal.
To come from a course involving energy and then getting a job for a company dealing in energy is no coincidence.
I offer and practice Reiki on those who seek it, but haven’t focused on making it a business. It has opened a gateway for me to learn more about spirituality and different forms of energy. I have gone on to have my kundalini awakened and pay more attention to my intuition.
Reiki has been the foundational step for me to become a greater version of myself, who was previously lost with a lack of belief in myself and my abilities.
Reiki has given me tools to continue on this trajectory, for which I will forever be grateful for.
If you are considering giving Reiki a go, especially if you are male, then I would say jump in without a second thought. There aren't enough men utilising their inner powers.
