How to Stop Tolerating Things That Make You Unhappy

How to Stop Tolerating Things That Make You Unhappy

"What am I tolerating?"

This is a question that came up for me recently and one I realise we need to ask ourselves often.

It's a profound self-enquiry that allows us to clearly see when we're out of integrity with our values and who we say we're being.

If we're accepting being treated unkindly in a relationship or perhaps our value isn't appreciated or rewarded at work or in a business relationship, asking ourselves this question can be very revealing.

In business, it can even extend to not charging enough for our services, which results in overworking and burnout.

At home, it can be the numerous things that need repairing or decluttering that we simply leave, causing us to live within a daily existence of low-level dissatisfaction and stress.

THINGS GET WORSE

The longer we stay out of integrity through toleration, the more things worsen, until finally one day, we can't take any more and we're driven to some form of deliberate action.

WHY WE TOLERATE

There's many reasons why we tolerate things but the main reason is usually fear.

Fear of the effort it might take, fear of upsetting someone, fear of being alone or suffering hardship in some way.

It isn't easy but what's the alternative?

Harbouring an underlying vibration of unhappiness with that part of our life which eventually bleeds into other areas of our life, until we decide to change things.

THE UNIVERSE REWARDS YOU

As soon as you make this choice with your whole body and soul, you'll be surprised how quickly the Universe rewards you.

The action doesn't have to be big or life changing.

It can initially be a conversation which makes another (partner, boss, client) aware of your perspective or it can be some research or an enquiry.

When you take action, a sense of freedom will wash over you as you begin to come into alignment and you'll wish you'd acted sooner.

By releasing the subliminal stressor and taking a stand for your worthiness, you've freed up space for true peace and better opportunities to come your way.
