How Reiki Can Help With Your Emotional Wellbeing
Yesterday was the Founder of Reiki Ryoho, Mikao Usui's birthday.
Reiki has touched so many lives all over the world, so it sometimes astounds me how frequently he is forgotten by those who share Reiki teachings.
MOVING THROUGH GRIEF
Reiki not only allows me to do what I love most; teach Reiki and offer Reiki to those who need it, it softened my grief.
When my dear mother passed in 2019, I don't think I would have coped as well with her no longer being in this realm, if it wasn't for my daily self-Reiki practice.
SELF-REGULATION
Before Reiki, if something triggered me in some way, I could sit in my dysregulated state for days, if not weeks.
Since practicing Reiki daily, I might still get triggered but not as often and for nowhere near as long. I'm usually rebalanced within a few hours or less.
RELATIONSHIPS
All of my relationships are so much better since Reiki...not perfect but much better.
Through the Reiki principles, we're invited to reflect on who we're being.
We can spend most of our lives blaming others but Reiki allows us to see another perspective which might lead us to compassion, give us the courage to express ourselves in a way we can be heard or give us the strength to walk away.
SPIRITUALITY
Like many of us, I'd been seeking a spiritual truth that resonated with my soul for decades.
When I discovered Reiki 11 years ago, I finally found a way to deepen my spirituality and Universal connection, heal my body and balance my mind.
I was surprised at how easily I could sit daily in meditative self-Reiki, something I had never been able to do with meditation alone.
I basically owe everything to Reiki. When I say Mikao Usui changed my life, it's absolutely true.
This is just a small sample of the many benefits I've experienced.
I happily honour his life and fully appreciate the legacy he so generously shared with us.
With love and light
