Reiki Kotodama Healing with the 3rd Reiki Symbol
Continuing our exploration of the Reiki symbol kotodama (spirit word), Today, I’m going to share about the 3rd Reiki symbol - HON SHA ZE SHO NEN, known as the connection / oneness symbol.
The kotodama for the 3rd symbol is (H)O A ZE (H)0 NE (pronounced - ohh a zeh ohh neh)
As a reminder from my previous posts, chanting the kotodama for a reiki symbol allows us to deeply feel the energy of the symbol and receive its healing benefits. They can be chanted out loud or saliently or simply listened to, in order to receive healing. You can chant daily, for 7 days or 21 days or whenever you feel you need its healing energy.
The Oneness symbol is often ignored by Reiki practitioners, not only because it’s the hardest to draw and pronounce but also because some practitioners have been taught that the symbol is only used for distance reiki - to allow the practitioner to connect to the other person.
This misunderstanding leaves out an important part of the Reiki healing system because the 3rd symbol is ‘consciousness’.
The first reiki symbol represents Earth, the second Heaven and the third represents Spirituality
The connection / oneness symbol is associated with the 3rd eye and crown chakra also known as the upper tanden in the Japanese energy system or upper dan tian in the Chinese energy system. ‘Chakra’, ‘Tanden’ and ‘Dan Tian’ all mean ‘wheel’ - referring to a spinning vortex of energy.
So we can already see that the 3rd symbol does more than just form a connection during distance Reiki.
How it helps
Chanting the kotodama for the 3rd Symbol it can help with the following:
HIGHER SELF connection and deeper spirituality
Chanting this kotodama deepens our spirituality and strongly connects us with our higher spiritual self so we can receive soul guidance.
HEALING THE PAST
With this symbol, there are no time / space limitations so it can be used to help with healing the past, be it karmic cycles, inner-child wounds or past lives.
BEING PRESENT
Due to the removal of the illusion of time / space mentioned above, this symbol can be focused on as part of a Mindfulness practice to bring us back to the present moment.
ONENESS / CONNECTION
As the name implies this symbol can help us feel very connected not just to individuals but to all things. Working with this symbol we begin to understand that everything is consciousness from the tree, to the rock, to the beggar on the street -we are all one and we are ultimately all part of the same energetic fabric. Scientifically we are connected at a subatomic level, there is no true separation.
HEALING SEVERE AILMENTS & DISEASES
If you suffer from a severe or long-term disease or ailment or if you’re unwell and nothing is shifting, this symbol will help to start your body’s healing process.
WORLD PEACE
This symbol is beautiful to chant with the intention of helping to heal world situations such as wars, political leaders or natural disasters.
As we can see, the 3rd Reiki symbol is way too powerful to ignore or to just use for distance healing. It’s not the easiest symbol to learn but once you’ve assimilated it, it is an invaluable addition to your reiki practice.
