How Reiki Changes Lives
When I decided to learn Reiki almost 10 years ago, I had no idea how big an impact it would have on my life. I've trained in other modalities but Reiki is one of the few that places high importance on the spiritual growth and healing of the practitioner. Mikao Usui, the Founder of the Reiki Healing System, took inspiration from his Buddhist background and integrated self-care and self-compassion into our daily reiki practice knowing that it would allow us to connect even more strongly to Universal light.
Although we don't need to be completely healed to help others (...and I'm not sure this is even possible), we do need to be on our healing journey.
This empowering path not only alleviates long-term physical imbalances but it can also open our minds to new perspectives, bring inner calm, activate our 3rd eye and deepen our capacity to love.
I've definitely experienced all of these things and more, including the dissolving of old, lower-frequency friendships, the creation of new kindred-soul friendships and even the natural way I've been drawn to remove foods that deplete my energy, replacing them with foods that create energy.
My students continually share with me how Reiki has drastically reduced their anxiety, helped with fertility issues, managed their menopause symptoms, helped them recover faster after bone breakages, reduced their arthritis, stopped their migraines, moved them through grief and so much more.
'Reiki changed my life' is a comment I frequently hear from students and it's a sentiment I wholeheartedly agree with. Even after many years of practising, Reiki continues to reveal what we need to know or do next to fulfil both our earthly and spiritual intentions - It's fascinating.
