Self Hypnosis

One of the most powerful ways to use affirmations is to record them using your own voice and play them back to yourself as you fall asleep. Even if you don't like the sound of your voice (this changes pretty quickly) your subconscious recognises it because it's always listening. Through repetition, it will begin to believe what you are affirming daily and the changes will follow. Listening to yourself as you drift off to sleep is actually a proven form of self-hypnosis.

As we fall asleep we move into the slower, more coherent, alpha and theta brainwave states. These states allow us to reprogramme our limiting beliefs or implant new empowering ideas into our subconscious.

Even if the volume has to be fairly low so you don't disturb your partner, it can still be heard by your powerful subconscious mind - 'The Listener'.

Remember, your affirmations should be said in the first person - I, Me or My. They should be in the present tense and positively stated. If you can add a strong emotion in there, even better!

E.g.

'I love how easy it is for me to remember everything.'

'I am great at what I do.'

Write down your chosen affirmations (as many as you like) then record them and listen to them every night for at least 30 days. I like to record my affirmations on my iPhone using the Memo utility. If you're not sure if you've written them in the correct format or if you have questions about this process, just comment below.

This is so easy to do and it works! 💕
