How to Know Your Truth and Boundaries

Updated: Jan 1

Most spiritual teachers will, at some point, ask us to connect to ‘our truth’ but how do we actually know what our truth is? Well, one great way to know your truth is to know your core values, or your ‘Soul Values’ as I like to call them.

The Importance of Knowing Your Core Values

Your core values represent the fundamental things you stand for and feel passionate about. They affect how you show up in life, the decisions you make, your actions and how you interact with others. More importantly, once you know your core values you are:

  1. Better able to navigate difficult areas and challenges in your life.

  2. Able to easily see where you are out of alignment with your truth and make changes.

  3. Able to develop a clearer understanding of your limits i.e. your ‘boundaries’, which is particularly important in our work, love and family relationships.

Connect With Your Core Values

To help you, I'm sharing a worksheet taken from my 'Heal Your Heart and Thrive' Programme to guide you through the process of knowing what your core values are, becoming conscious of where you are out of alignment and choosing what to do in order to bring yourself back into alignment. Anyone can do this activity as it will help you to understand your truth and boundaries in just a few simple steps of self-reflection.

I hope you enjoy it.
